keeping bears away from my deer bait

any ideas? is there any kind of bait for deer that bears wont touch?

Bears will eat anything a deer will, so you're probably out of luck with keeping them away. I would suggest buying a bear tag if that's an option for you.

Feed your bears lead

I read here where someone mentioned putting out powdered instant mashed potatoes. He mentioned after they eat that they never come back. I am guessing they get a sore belly. Not sure it the deer would try it out though.

Anyone else know about this idea??

Invite him to spend the winter in your freezer. Grain/apple fed bear is pretty good.

I shhot bears on site, to me they are in the same class as a coyote.
