So we've all done it. Come home from the range, toss everything into
your vibratory brass cleaner, and head in the house to clean the guns.
Just as you finish, you run out (3 hours later), (7 if your Glen Valour),
and start seperating the brass from the media. Of course everything
turns out like those nested dolls, 45's have 40's inside, and inside of those
are 9mm, and 38's. It's a mess. You're going to end up sending 1/2 back
to be re-cleaned, and waste more time. So here's the plan.....
I kept my brass seperate at the range, and at the end of the night just
dumped it into baggies. 1 baggie for .45, and one for .40. This is then
filled with media from the tumbler, and the 2 baggies are sunk inside. 3
hours later I had 2 bags, ready to be recovered. I cut the corner of the
bag, drained the media, and whoop! Totally clean! This would really work
out if you had to clean just a couple of one casing, or really didn't have
enough for 2 loads.
So. What do you think? Sure cut the cleaning time, and made cleanup a
snap.
