Description:

The Kel-Tec CMR-30 Rifle is chambered for the .22WMR cartridge (22 Magnum). The design is a rifle version of the popular Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistol. The same 30 round magazines are used. The single action trigger mechanism, bolt stop, ambidextrous safety levers, and mag catch are also identical. The CMR-30 rifle includes a collapsible stock and the 16” barrel is threaded 1/2”-28 to accept many different muzzle attachments. The multi-position collapsible stock allows for a short overall length of 22.7” with the stock collapsed, and 30.6” when extended. The long top picatinny rail will accept a multitude of different optics, and the removable under picatinny rail is included. The ambidextrous operating handles are non-reciprocating and latch in the forward position. The stock latch lever is also ambidextrous and located just in front of the trigger guard. An integral sling loop is included near the rear of the grip, on both sides.
The CMR-30 is constructed of hard-coat anodized aluminum for the upper assembly and rails and houses the steel barrel. The collapsible stock is made with aluminum stock rods, and a nylon butt plate. The stock was designed to have a natural cheek weld when extended. The grip, mag catch, safety levers, stock latch, and operating handles are made of glass reinforced nylon (Zytel). The grip houses the frame which is made of aluminum. The bolt assembly houses a captive recoil spring assembly. Magpul® flip-up sights included.

The extensive use of aluminum, and a lock time lower than most bolt action rifles makes the CMR-30 a very accurate rifle.

Vault iirc controls import. So my guess is 2+ years away and at twice the price in the US.
Mag will need pinned to 10 rounds.
Barrel will need to be longer or stock pinned to meet NR laws
If one dod come in by runguns, it would be resticted and need pinned.

This is my little CMR... I have a brand new PMR on the way.
I have fired about 100 rounds so far, and I'm impressed with it's accuracy with a 4 MOA red dot.
I am building up a stash of ammunition right now, then it's back to the range.

Note: I am new to the world of rimfire .22 / .22 WMR pistols & rifles.

So 22.7" with the stock collapsed? Which, of course in the USA isn't an issue.

It's tiny, and it's light enough that you can fire it like a pistol - accurately with the stock collapsed.

I have seen where it has been made into an SBR with the barrel cut down to 10", so a little more than 16" collapsed...

it's called .22WMR...win mag rimfire, so yup, it's rimfire and has those laws applied to it.

ferget if you need the 26" OAL as people do put 6 - 8" barrels on their 10/22's and after that they are no where close to being 2ft long. :yingyang:

My 10/22 with 8" barrel is 26.5" long

But yeah one of these with a short barrel and fixed stock would be cool.

I haven't been impressed by keltec, but I do find the cmr30 fascinating.

I'd make it into a little PDW... Predator(fox/yote) defense weapon :p

I sure hope it is. I guess Vault is the only one that can say for sure. I'll send them an email.

I called them yesterday
Steve told they aren't even trying to get and FRT at this point, they're still waiting on the RDB and that's taking way longer than than normal
