Kel-tec PMR-30 Legal in Canada?

Just wondering if these are illegal or prohib in status in Canada?? I thought they were for sure, but I just saw some Kel-tec pistols for sale at ARMSEAST and the mags held 27 rounds. Anyone know?? I'd sure want one. It looks so ugly that its pretty. And 30 rounds of 22 wmr would be a blast to shoot off.

Why would they be prohib? It is a pretty ordinary looking handgun.

Since it's a handgun magazine, the mag should be pinned to 10 rounds.

Thats what I am wondering. About magazine capacity. It doesn't say anything about pinned mags in the other advertisement for the Kel-tec PLR-22 that uses 27 round mags. Its a handgun. Both shoot rimfire ammo, one 22lr, the other 22mag. Be neat to know why one would be allowed to use a 27 round mag in a pistol legally, yet the other one not??

If the PLR-22 is using 27 round mags, they came from a rimfire rifle. If they are designed as pistol mags, they must be 10 rounds or less, period.

Hmmm... do you have a link to the ad that you are referring to?

Is it this one?: http://www.armseast.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=150. The Kel-Tec PLR-22 takes a magazine that is designed for a rifle (Kel-Tec SU-22: http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/su22.htm); so as pointed out above, the rules are a little different. Unfortunately... :(

No because they are both designed for the Ruger 10/22 rifle. They just happen to fit the Charger pistol. ;) As pointed out above, it is all about what gun the mag is designed for not what gun it might be able to function in. :)
