Kel-Tec RFB likely to come to Canada?

i want them to get here as much as the next guy but i dont think the US will issue export permits. They stop issueing them for AR15 stocks... and with the dem in power... the war... i dont see this situation getting better soon. Of course you may see somme over the border hand me down model like the FN2000 or the P90 but wide spread distribution i dont think so.

I took that the barrel of the RFB is not free-floated :confused:?
 
Some one posted on the KelTec owners forum recently that release has been delayed until 4th quarter of 2008 or possibly 1st Quarter of 2009.
 
The delay is posted right on their web page in the news section. Like the video. That is a cool looking rifle. My only reservation is the ejection system. I can foresee that jamming up.
 
Those things look like the cheapest POS guns I've ever seen. I'd take a beat up 40 yr old AK over one of those.

I'm amazed at the amount of recoil. The guy in the video looks like he's shooting 300 win mag or something.
 
Ya there sure is a lot of recoil in that gun, and that ejection system seems to scare me a bit. Very cool in all but i much rather prefer the side ejection.

I thought these were neat when I first saw pictures of them. Mind you I got my M1A now so it will be a while before I buy another 308Win semi-automatic rifle. :)

One question the SU-16A is non restricted in Canada right ?? :)

I almost impaled myself in the underside of my jaw with the boner I got from seeing that pic. This is the ###IEST gun I've ever seen. For a .308 unrestricted bullpup? I would buy for $2k-2k5 easy. These are exciting times for newbies. Can the manufacturers keep up with interesting designs before lawmakers ban the stuff.?

While I'm not a huge fan of the price tag (read I cant see myself buying it) its pretty sweet looking.. I cant justify purchasing a AR right now let alone this. But it is .308 and I wouldn't mind pissing off the liberals as well as Fudds while hunting with it.

I also greatly enjoy the PRL-16 handgun. That is pretty much one of the coolest looking handguns ever made.
