So I bought a used Kel tec Sub 2000 gen 2. It must be a early gen 2 by the features it has. I did not notice until after my first range trip ( where it functioned flawlessly) that the barrel could move back and forth. All the threads I read online said that it was probably loose due to the loctite loosing its hold over much use. And the solution to the problem was to unscrew the barrel and re loctite it. So I went to do this and was not aware that the barrel was pinned in as well as threaded.
Needless to say I have threaded a barrel out that had a pin in it and have damaged the threads. I can not get the rear castle nut off for the life of me and damaged the finish on it.
The barrel threads into the gun just fine until I get to the pin. I can not take the gun apart without removing the stuck on castle nut.
So are main parts for this gun available for sale, or is anyone aware of who can fix these? Or should I cut my losses and sell it as parts and buy a replacement?
