title says it all.
I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Gen 2 Kel-Tec 223 and want to know about owner opinion on how this is as a range gun, and non-rest coyote rig.
if you have one, let me know what you think

also been wondering this and about to go for it- im looking at the non tactical version as its alot less in price. Based on reviews it seems like a good simple function but a cheap stock. But if your not banging it against rocks then who cares

Not sure about the SU 16 but my PLR 16 had a few failure to extract last week at the range. Probably needs a clean. First issue I've ever had with it. Been about 900rnds so far.

If you buy one, buy new since the warranty only applies to the first owner, and buy from an authorized retailer. I did not know they are gen 1 and 2, enlighten us please.

I’ve owned several and they are great rifles for their purpose. Very light, foldable so easy to pack and store, and reasonably accurate. Simple to operate and clean too. Not overly customizable, but there are upgrades available to bump up your game a bit.

I like how light they are. I've not put a whole lot of rounds through mine when I had it but I had no real issues.
Only thing was that it did not like my reloads sized with regular FL sizing die but once I switched to SB sizing die all issues went away.

Yes very light and barrel is thin. I would blue loctite those screws on the receiver though or they will walk out.

Get the RDB instead. Over 1k rounds, no malfunctions, accurate, soft shooting and compact. That's given you aren't the type to ##### and whine about bullpups.

many have reported 1000’s of rounds through su16 without any issues. i dont think the complaints are based on the action but rather the entirely polymer stock which i believe is on all keltecs

I've had the SU-16A model for many years and it's been great for me. I hand load and have been able to get 1MOA very consistently from a 50gr vmax bullet. I use a 1-4 power optic so I can still take it apart without having to remove the scope for cleaning.

I've got the tacticool version. Picked it up after shooting a friends WK180. I cant recall ever having a gun related malfunction (mag related ones). The only thing that annoys me is that the thread protector on the end of the muzzle keeps trying to rotate off and tightening it up on a hot gun isn't my idea of a good time. I'm only about 1000 rounds into it, so I can't comment on how easy it is to take down and clean.

got the non tactical version, out of box feel is that its very stiff, take down pin is stiff and there is very little play anywhere. I imagine/hoping that after some use things will move easier. The polymer is a bit odd. With some range time planned this weekend I am excited to see how it functions

The SU 16F tactical - worked flawlessly 40 rounds last weekend -3 inch groups @ 50 yds -peep sights.
Will try 4 diff ammo tomorrow...
Like the LAR 10 rounders
.

Mine runs well now. Required a good cleaning of the factory oil. Picky on mags. C products run the best. Magpul second.
