Kel-tec su 16 tactical--reliability?longativity?any experiances ?

We're not jumping out of helicopters with them, and nobody's paying us to take them to the range.

This "reliability" thing your talking about, only comes into play, when considered as a function of duration (wait, is that right? That sounds goofy/). Sure, your K.A. AR, will still be running as smoothly after 10k rounds as day one, while the Keltec's ready for the recycle bin at that point.
Thing is, that the guys buying/shooting SU16's, may never even come close to shooting that many rounds (unless we can figure out a way for the taxpayer to start buying our ammo too, eh ;)).

My only issue is that whether that rifle is KAC or Kel-Tec, 100 rounds says nothing. The first 100 rounds out of my Vz.58 had three FTF and one FTE, a horrible rate of problems. The last 5,085 rounds have had 0 FTF and 0 FTE. Had I offered an opinion early on I might gave said it was a piece of garbage.

I'd rather someone put a 1K down the pipe before telling me they think it reliable.

Incidentally, I have nothing per se against Kel-Tec; if I could find a SUB-2000 online in Canada I'd buy it yesterday.

I probably have over 1K rounds through mine. It is the non-tactical version though I am looking at doing the mods.

Reliable as anything else out there. It is a combination of the AK gas system and the AR-15 bolt with an AR-18 bolt carrier.

Couple of stovepipes over the 1000+ rounds counting break in. Those could have been in the first couple hundred rounds I can't remember.

i have the su 16f. it is so light...and so accurate! i can't believe how good it is from a polymer rifle. mine folds into my backpack. very clean shooting. great non-restricted toy. doesn't have the prestige but more than holds its own for utilitarian use.
