The barrel length on these used to make them restricted but now they are listing them as having a 470.1mm barrel;

I know these aren't AR equivalents but the price is right and now that they have unrestricted barrels IMO they would make worthwhile truck guns...

The 470.1 bbl is not yet in the FRT.

That would be tough considering the SU-16 sells for over $500 in the US. I's say this fact is why we don't see them here. As they would likely sell for $700, pushing low-end AR territory.

I`d pay $700ish for one.

When I saw the change I wondered if it reflected a move to export them here.

I realize they have their limitations but I feel that the fact that they fold and their low weight give them a niche.

FWIW they have some following in the states, I doubt they are as bad as some say. At any rate I`d like to see for myself.

We got them to change the advertised length on the website, but the RCMP looked at the barrel and said the extension doesn't count, still restricted.

Cool. Kinda like a swiss army knife. I like how the forestock becomes a bipod and the gun folds up. Neat.
Now how is the accuracy?

Some guys are getting 1.5-2 MOA. Pretty decent.

I think it is a rather novel idea. I'ld definitely get one if they weren't restricted. I have seen them at some US gunshows. They might not be target rifles, but they seem a good utility rifle.
