I'm looking at the Kel-Tec SU16, I've read accounts that regular stock is usable but not especially rigid. Is the AR stock on the adapter any better? Does the AR stock flex?

I was hoping to get a first hand account. What are CGNs opinions on this set up?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Mine is super rigid. Im pretty sure i can smash a coconut with it and the only thing breaking would be the coconut!. There is no flex. perfectly rigid. Another nice feature of the AR stock,is that the takedown pin is retaining, unlike the original stock's pin which must be completely removed..

I found both to be pretty okay. It's not something to be smashing a zombie's face with, though. But perfectly fine for shooting. Either one, really.

One thing you should know is that the buffer is not put to use. So any force that goes into the AR stock is not compensated for in any way and transfers its force into the receiver, which is Zytel not steel. That being said, I never had any problem with rapid fire with the SU16 on either of the stocks. I just wouldn't use it for hitting anything, mortaring, etc.

OK, one more question:

Is the kel-tec AR stock more or less rigid than the Armalite AR-180b's stock?

I owned a AR-180b for a while. I was generally impressed with the rifle, but it did not seem as rigid/robust as my AR15.

Does anyone own a SU-16 and a AR-180B for comparison?
