I have both. It’s not

What are your thoughts on both? Seems like a lot of bad press right now for the Siberian. The SU is "lower grade" but seems to be fairly reliable after some rough patches of weak receiver modling etc in the first few years. Keltec has been making these for 20 years - you'd think it'd be pretty settled by now?

BCL is much more solid and accurate, also more aftermarket support.
And according to my cheap reloads, way more accurate.
SU is light and cheap. The after market pistol grip is cobbled together with bolts and the handguard is wobbly.
Accuracy is around 2 -3 MOA with factory match ammo.

I know the BCL has a couple of issues but so do the SU.
It’s really not fair comparing two completely different price guns.

If you don’t mind the look and feel of the SU , by all means , get one.
The warranty will cover the original owner in case a rear blowout.
It has the best stocktrigger you’ll ever find on a cheap semi.I don’t know if it’s been resolved but I do recall a few incidents after they said it was resolved.

I have owned 5 of them , just beware, they will not scratch the AR itch.
But other than that, they’re not terrible

Yeah, a shooting buddy of mine has had one for many years now. Reliable, reasonably accurate, and decent ergos...but no, not an AR.

Probably a cost saving measure to move guns faster from the US. Keltec doesnt need a guy in the factory pinning mags just for dumb canadian laws.

Pretty much this.
I wouldn't get hung up on the magazine issue.
These will move quick. You snooze you lose.

Considering our options these days, they are a great gun for the price. Buddy has one and it easily kept up with ARs during 3 gun. The broken receiver issue had nothing to do with the reciever and rather the op rod unthreading. Kel-Tec fixed that many years ago.
