I purchase this firearm recently and intended on installing a Flash Hider but when I tried to remove the threaded cap on the end of the barrel it wouldn't give, so I headed up to my local gun shop and they were unable to remove this cap. Seems like this cap was welded into place. I have contacted the seller and kel tec and waiting for a response, any member here have an issue like this, I'm quite pleased with the firearm other than the way they installed that F****** cap.

From a Store, they want me to return the firearm to their store. I had them ship to my address, now they want me to return the item back, but that's an 1 hour & 30 min drive one way, so I emailed them back saying I would ship it back and they pay for the shipping. I repost when they return my email.

I've read that Kel-Tec is using thread lock on the front sight... some make have gotten on your thread protector.

Maybe try heating it up just a little.

Is that the Midwest Ind. sight mount? I've see a few positive reviews, curious how real world users are finding it.

I think this is the summer I finally cave to my multi-year Sub 2K craving... A good sight mount that still allows for the gun to fold over (which is the hole point of the gun) is a make or break deal for me, because I just can't shoot peep-sights for crap, and there aren't any aftermarket tangent sights for it.

My new pivoting MI-G2SUB-T2 mount arrived today, I haven't even opened the box.

I had a few odds & ends in my parts box, and I came up with this RDS mounting solution on my Gen II... I have not fired it yet, but it folds & unfolds as it should. The dot is higher than the iron sights, but not too high, and it is easily picked up by my eye. I am dead on target with just a slight counterclockwise rotation of the rifle. The small diameter of the bolt tube helps keep this rotation to a minimum.
