Hey all,

Recently watched some 2015 shot show videos on youtube and saw the new and improved Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen 2. Kel-Tec has changed a bunch of things on the gun from the front post sight to the adjustable rear stock. There are also a bunch of other changes they made but I will just post a link to the video here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PejpS1R8oSU

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea when we might see these in Canada? The rep from Kel-Tec said in the video that supposedly their production is going up 100% due to the popularity of the sub 2k on the market and the new form of production they're using for the sub 2k receivers.

If anyone has more information feel free to post as I am very interested in these new gen 2's.

I'm not sure but I would consider contacting Vault. They distribute the Sub 2000's in Canada, or at least they did last year when I contacted them when I was looking for one. I found them very helpful, maybe they'll have some info for you.

I'm curious if they will be brought in. Not a super fan of the for end but the rest is great. I can't find any gen1's in Canada reliably

Apparently Kel Tecs export paperwork expired and they are waiting for renewal to start shipping. If this gun isn't in production yet assume you see it till end of the year more than likely.

Yeah. I haven't actively searched for any gen 1's but I have heard they're next to impossible to find in the states and most likely up here as well.

Blegend that is what I was thinking as well. Figured if they were introduced at shot show we may have to wait a year maybe longer for them to make they're way up here.

In one of the videos I've seen the guy said that Hk and M&P versions of sub2000 will also be available.. anybody else heard that?
I would love to have one that uses p30 mags.

The Gen 1 is a great gun.

People say they look ugly, and feel cheap.

But from what I've seen and experienced, they run a whole lot better than the Beretta Storm or JR-Carbine.

The ONLY thing missing from the Keltec Sub 2000 was a built in optics rail from the factory. The Gen 2 has that covered.

QD mounts for Aimpoint type optics are readily available an do return to zero. QD red dot's fun for the range but too slow to deploy. I changed the front sight blade out for one with a tube fiber optic on a Glock version and it worked fantastic.

The gen 2 improved iron sights (windage and elevation adjustable AR style front sight post) should eliminate the need for a red dot.

My 1st gen is prolly my favorite rifle

Gen 1 got a pretty bad rap. A lot of people posted problems with theirs but mine was super reliable. I will buy the Gen 2 if they come here, depending on price. Might be a sticker shock as US greenback has gone through the roof. If anyone hasn't seen the improvements for Gen 2, here's a video:

Anyone looking for the first run of 2015 Gen 1 Sub2k's, Wanstall's is bringing in a shipment:

I've been thinking about getting a sub2000 I don't know if it's worth waiting for the second gen or not. I have read a lot of mixed reviews about them. A lot of people here seem to really like them. I just don't want to be stuck with it if it doesn't feed or eject reliably. If only the pricing here was even close the U.S.
