I bought a kel tec sub 2000 and need a soft bag for it. Sure it is compact but could use a protective case to use in my side by side???

I have not been able to find anything commercially available. Know anybody who can sew? I just use a small gym bag with the gun in a small bag I sewed (not an experience I'd care to repeat) but I have yet to find an appropriate soft case or locking pelican case for it; any of the ones I find are either a bit too short or scads too big. My next rainy season project is to make a small locking wood case for it.

I suggest you make specific measurements and go to a tailor/seamstress and have them construct one to your specs. This would definitely be interesting

I wrap mine in a cut up pair of lululemon pants I stole from the wife. They were destined for the garbage anyway, The stretchy waist part just snaps around the whole thing like a big soft elastic.

This is what I found out today on another thread re: putting NR rifles in a Large Hockey Duffel bag to carry down (lots stairs or elevator, always busy) to my car through busy downtown Apt.
******

It's now a concealed weapon.

And here's the thread which has references to the case law that supports this:

SORRY! :'(

Two other options I've used:
1. Ruger 10/22 takedown bag -- perfect fit + pockets and molle.
2. CDN Tire Mastercraft clamp-set soft case, also perfect fit... (R. v. Felawka, concealed weapon, notwithstanding) This you can find in current stock ranging from $15 to $40 depending on the store. Ask 'em to do a price match with the lowest-priced store. Clamps come in handy too so it's a decent score.

Looks like an inconclusive forum discussion.
