hey first time poster here, wondering if you guys have had any experiences with the kel tec sub 2000 in Canada? i was looking into picking up one of these from a website i found here.

I have owned a couple now.
Love them.
Have always been reliable.Some people were having some issues with the safety but I think that has been fixed now.
You can also get aftermarket rails and sights made by Red Lion.

Tons of threads on the Sub 2000 if you search for it in this section. I have a Sig version, which performs flawlessly. I've read about problems but haven't experienced any. There was a shortage causing people to mark them up in the EE, now they seem plentiful and are available everywhere at the retail price of $599.

I had one and sold it. I enjoyed shooting it, and had very few problems with it. It just felt like a toy to me though.

This was my expierance as well. I had about 600 rounds through it, and didn't have a single failure. But I didnt like how cheap I felt, it just gave me the feeling that it would break easiealy if it were dropped. It's a neat gun though, and surprisingly accurate.

I have had one for over a year and like it a lot ... Simple and easy to use and disassemble etc. They are tougher than they look and once you throw a Red Lion front site on it that is easy to adjust you can dial them in pretty decent for what they are. Folded in half they fit nicely into a backpack as well. Mine had some issues at the beginning with some minor ejection issues but that seems to have smoothed out over time.

Thanks for all the replys, I'm deffanatly picking one up as my first purchace. Seems fun to shoot, 9mm is cheep and low recoil. Hows the break down? Is it hard to clean and fully take apart?

YouTube will have disassembly videos for almost every firearm. Check There I don't think it would be to difficult to take apart

I've got a Glock version and over 1000 rounds through it, still has the occasional stove pipe but not often enough to be a pain in the ass. I don't regret buying mine even though I hardly ever use it any more.

Very easy to strip down. One pin and it all comes apart. Just make sure you never pull the trigger when the bolt is removed. This is very important as it will prevent you from being able to put it back together and it's a pain in the ass to reset the hammer.
