Kelby benchrest stocks

what do I know ??

if you look at the results of the ARA and other USA shooting sports for a benchrest type of activity the Kelbly stocks are not high on the list,

but what do I know, I was only the world br rimfire rep for canada since 2005-2011 and was registered to shoot at the rimfire worlds from another organization in the USA this summer past (went elsewhere for centerfire br competition)

nice folks who own and run the company but the stocks are not generally used for rimfire BR, but they are still used,

they do however have export permits and if you get an import permit they can ship to your door

Thanks for the info Jefferson. I did get an answer back from them today stating I needed an import permit. The stock that is on the rifle was a 3 position stock that a friend of mine reworked for me. I have just purchased a custom one piece rest like a Pappas rest and the rifle does not sit well on the front rest, it is too narrow. We were talking last night about cutting out part of the fore stock and adding a UMHW 3"x6" glide plate to fit the rest (like the one posted on RFC in the same topic). I'll try this for a while and see how it shoots. Here's a pic of the stock.

if i may suggest

if I may suggest a couple of things,

1. gun looks really nice,

2. rear bag is reversed, and lookl for one that has wide stiching so the bag does not interfere with recoil,

3. drink pepsi during the break in the action (intermission)

looks good, what type of one-piece rest, there is a bunch out there, .

and the import docs are quite easy to get (need to get mine for a panda that I paid for in may from them)

Here are a few pics of my rest Jefferson. #1 is the complete rest, #2 is the front and #3 is the rear. This rest was custom made for a fellow I shoot benchrest with, he sold this one to me as he is having another one built over the winter. I haven't weighed this one yet but my guess is between 35 and 40 lbs.
