Kelowna Skeet and Sporting clay closure!

This really is a shame. I was just going to try and go out to one this Saturday(to get started in the sport)... Is there anything we can do as members?

You can still shoot trap. It's a good idea to go meet all the guys. They are a great group of guys really. I started shooting in February and they taught me enough that I shot 25 straight after 5 weeks. I ended up shooting 25 straight quite a few times and shot 50 straight in a sanctioned shoot. Very knowledgable guys.

It's too bad the main club and the trap/skeet club didn't get along better.

Good day gents: I have been reading this thread ref the Kelowna Club closure and I for one, think it's a damn shame over the complaint of one individual. The reason for my interest is because my parents live in Kelowna. I am a skeet shooter in Kingston Ont and love th sport. I was planning on bringing my gear next year when I visit my parents and shoot at your club as a visitor, guess that won't happen now. Tell me, where is the next closest skeet/trap range or club in the valley?

You can still shoot trap. If you do decide to come let me know and I will meet you there.

bwilk, you can send a message to the club via its web site kdf&gc! It may not help but at least it shows the membership is interested in what is going on in thier club! I wish more of the members would get involed with thier clubs, its the old 80-20% rule 20% does 80% of the work.

North Okanagan Trap and Skeet
is that vernon? I shot skeet there a couple times. Interesting place.
In between Vernon and Armstrong. I would say approximately 1 hr from the north end of Kelowna, and about 2 hours from the extreme south side of Kelowna when the traffic is bad. Been meaning to head over there and check it out, haven't got around to it yet. Might be about time if the neighbours are getting shut down...
