Hi guys I hope someone can help. I shot around 3000 rounds with my KSG and two days ago it blew up in my face. Thank god I was wearing eye protection because it protected me from polymer shrapnel. So I contacted keltec and still got no answer. I am the first owner but I lost the damn proof of purchase... Is there anything I can do to solve this problem ?

I'm glad your OK, let us know how Vault and Keltec resolve the issue. Maybe the shop you bought it from can help out?

I would like to see pictures and know more.

Seems weird that a shotgun would explode unless there was an obstruction.

Hmm, sounds like you bought a Keltec.

In all seriousness, glad you are ok and will be interested in seeing how they handle this. They couldn't make any of the multiple KSG's I owned work properly, hopefully they can resolve this to your satisfaction.

Proof of purchase should be irrelevant. When a fairly new shotgun blows up in your face, it is in the manufacturer's best interest to deal with it as quickly as possible to preserve reputation. What exactly failed on it ? Blew up and got showered with plastic shrapnel is pretty broad description. What ammo did you shoot ? We want to know these things, there is a lot of these shotguns in use, I was actually looking at them but just didn't get to pulling $1.3k out of my pocket yet.

No obstructions watsoever. I’m not a gunsmith so I’ll do my best to explain. There’s two rods that connects your bolt assembly to the handguard. Well these suckers accompanied with the handguard busted while I was shooting a #8 2&3/4 shell.
It sucks because I thought it looked freakin cool. But gladly I became a man and bought a Benelli m4 instead. I’m not a fan of keltec anymore. Probably never going to buy a weapon system from this company again.

Cheers boys.

Glad you are OK.

Just curious - what make / brand was the 2 3/4" shell? Or was it a reload?

Last gun I saw blow up was one that a fellow range member had (an old shotgun) but he was using reloads. That's why I was asking.

Congrats on the M4 by the way - I just got one last week and it's been pretty good so far based on shooting it last weekend at the range.

Congrats on the M4, but I don't think you're giving the Kel-Tec a fair Shake, every manufacturer will have occasional problems, it sounds like you unfortunately you were the one who got stuck with one of them. You could very well have experienced the same thing with a brand that is typically regarded as being a higher quality brand like Benelli.

I admit to have this happen would be very disappointing but the way you come off about it makes you sound like a spoiled Karen asking to speak to the manager.
