Keltec RDB - Mag issues

I have followed past posts on this but wanted to hear from others if they have had issues with mags coming unseated during firing.

I am just breaking in a new barrel and already the bolt does not want to chamber new round as the mag has come off its mount.

Answers to the usual questions - using metal mags that work flawless in AR's, no - my hand is not bumping the mag release, shooting Winchester white box 55 - so its a pretty generic load.

Even when the gun is apart - I can pull the trigger to release the hammer and get it to 'knock' the mag loose. Never seen anything like this.

Anyone have any experience here? Can the gun's mag release be altered to grip/bite the mag better? I cant believe that if it cant hold standard metal mags a PMag will be better....

Quick note, it can be damaging to rifles to let the hammer slam the receiver when taken down. It can cause cracks in either the hammer, or the receiver. Talk to the importer about replacing the mag catch.
 
The mag catch, appears to have edges that are a little too round. Took a file and removed a small amount of material of to create a sharp edge. Have tested it a bunch of times and seems to be holding. This part should have an edge that is machined - like an AR's. Have to put some rounds through it to check.
