I'm reading a lot of posts where folks seem to be running what sounds like .308 WIN ammo through the RFB with no problems as well as cheap steel cased surplus stuff.

The manual for the Keltec RFB, 18.5" and the 24" hunter model insists that the only suitable ammo is 7.62 NATO. It mentions it a bunch of times in the literature.

I'm aware of the subtle differences around pressure ratings between 7.62 NATO and .308 WIN rounds but certainly no expert. So my question is, can the RFB handle .308 WIN and are there guys on this forum that have been running it for a while with no problems? Also, what about reloads - are there guys feeding reloads through the RFB?

I'm happy to just pump 7.62 NATO through it - it's cheap and easy to get, but it seems a shame to have a .308 rifle that can't take advantage of either reloads (yeah, manual says I can't do that either) or some of the very good .308 WIN rounds that are out there.

I have both hunter and carbine, 308 win is no issue, I have rails on to check stamps, but I recall they were advertised as 308 and not 7.62 Nato. Anyway, no issues with 308 and for reloading, you'll be limited in oal by the FAL metric mags.

Tula 308 win. Steel case ammo. 165gr softpoint goves me 1.5 MOA. It's my hunting and plinking ammo. Cost me 1$/rnd after shipping and tax fromfrontier firearms.
