I went out for the Feb. goose opener here on Saturday and fired a few shots with my Kent Faststeels (2 3/4 inch, 1 1/8 oz. BB) and found I got walloped on the shoulder way more than shooting Win. Xperts or Federals on ducks last fall.
I've got an old Remington Wingmaster with no recoil pad and never noticed the recoil before.
The Faststeels were old stock I got on sale last December. I think the speed is around 1425 fps. I found they gave off a lot more smoke than the other rounds too.
Is this normal?
