Ok so I just bought a new 270Win, nothing fancy but still what I wanted in a field rifle. I was going to buy a BDC reticle scope for it but have found a company called Kenton Industries that makes custom turrets for various scopes, including one that I have sitting on the shelf brand new in the box.

Does anyone have any experience with these or similar.. I plan on shooting factory ammo out of it as I don't have a reloading set up myself..

As long as you know your exact muzzle velocity and an accurate BC for your bullet and don't do any big changes in elevation or temperature, they are very accurate.

The plan right now is to use Hornady Superformance 140gr SST factory loads. When sending in my specs to Kenton, should I have them set it up for the expected temps in mid November in Northern Ontario as this is when and where I plan on using it? I'm not sure how much the temp throws the drop off.. They only make an elevation turret for my scope and not a windage adjustment unfortunately..

You still need to know the muzzle velocity from your rifle. Yes, I'd have them set it up for where you plan on using it.
