kestrel wind meters in Edmonton?

I use load base 3 from Patagonia on my AXIM handheld. The 4500NV with bluetooth (rather than Wifi, my bad) connects and passes environment info to my handheld. I have the portable stand for a tripod so it also does wind direction. Very slick set up and worth the money. I like the software from Patagonia particularly. Good to go and easy to use, once you get the hang of it. Constantly updated as well.

Really I just wanted the 1000 for getting an idea to be better at reading wind.

Ended up finding an iPhone app called wind meter. Figures it out by wind blowing in the mike. Actually works pretty good, or at least as as good as u can expect for $1.

Does what I wanted anyway.
