Key holes!!!! And maybe holes for scope bases are off!!

Only thing that is going to cause keyholing is bullet stability, which is not fast enough twist rate for the bullet being used. That twist rate in 22-250 with soft point 55 grain bullets work fine. The vmax have a longer bearing surface and struggle to stabilize with that twist rate. For some people they do, depending on elevation, and if they are really pushing them fast.

Just use a different bullet, one that matches the twist rate better, and you shouldn't get any more keyholing.
