Being kind of in the mood for another shotgun..."for my daughter"...I have been looking at the 28ga on the advice of a friend, especially since he has a couple and loves them. Anyhow, in looking around online, I stumbled across a 28ga over under by Khan Arms. I had never heard of them before, and since the gun would be used primarily by my daughter as a step up from the .410...yes, I know...of course I will use it....but it is for her...really...I am thinking it may well be a useful purchase. The price is a bit under $600 new. I realize that is not much to pay for an over under, but at the same time, I don't want to spend that much money on a piece of junk. So, I'm hoping that others out there with some experience with this brand can offer their experiences and opinions. Thanks.

Junk it is?

Well, Khan is the maker who makes the Mossberg Silver Reserve. While some have had luck with the Mossbergs, there are a whole lot of negative reviews on them. It might be okay if you don't use it much. However, if you are thinking about a budget Turkish over/under, then I would look at CZ and possibly Yildiz.

I did a fair amount of research on the various Turkish shotgun makers recently. Khan has questionable quality assurance, might get a lemon. They seem to make the guns for Mossberg and Weatherby.

They make Weatherbys? Interesting. The SA-08 in 28ga was another item that caught my eye. I wonder which models, exactly.

I was told that by one of the sponsoring dealers here who sells them but I can't confirm.

Trade Ex has two kinds of Khan semi-autos from what I remember, maybe have a look and see.
