If the shot doesn't look and fell certain,Never take it. Wounded game is never a good thing, if you were shaky you made the right decision.
 
shot a moose in the chest, good killing shot, it went a good 100m before it stopped running. A lot of work getting that one out, but easy to see in the big swamp. In a thick black spruce or willow bog I would have been screwed taking a shot like that.

ones I've shot quartering and broad side have never gone that far.
