Kimber 1911 Magazine 7 Round question....

I have my Kimber 1911, and I have the Wilson Mags and such to use, but I always find myself not grabbing the original Kimber mag that came with the pistol.

I have modified the 1911 and put on a Wilson MSH and magwell, so the original Kimber mag is a PITA to use because it doesn't have a bumper.

Has anyone tried ordering or installing a bumper for the 7 round mags. How was the quality? Did it last? Worth installing the bumper or just selling the mag off cheap?

I don't plan on running any courses with this mag, Ill save that for the Wilson stuff, but at least use it for general plinking and stuff.

I sold all my 7 rounders and used the cash to buy 8 rounders with bumpers. A good idea if you ever plan on action pistol type stuff.

I recently purchased 5 Kim-Pro Tac mags, 8 rounders w/ bumper pads, and 2 of them won't drop free from the mag well. In fact they have to be forcefully pulled. 2 out of 5 is not so good. The others work great though.........very slick.

for my 1911's I use only 8rnds stainless Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick (the best)
also I've used MecGar and Dlask with no feeding problems
