Kimber 22lr slide

So I have the following 1911, all stainless.
Dan Wesson SSC 40 S&W
Taurus 45ACP
Colt Delta 10 mm
Para double stack 45acp
STI 9mm
Colt commander 45acp


Guess which one the kimber work perfectly on? The safety worked and the slide didn't jam.

I would put my money on the Taurus or one of the Colts. With my luck though it would be the Para - the one I feel would be the worst match.

Generally, it was to tight on all of them, except one and the safety wouldn't function at all.

Dan Wesson SSC, slide wouldn't move at all and the slide stop wouldn't go all the way in to teh other side.

Taurus, slide went on and moved, but safety wouldn't function.

Colt 10 mm, slide went on, was grinding a bit, safety wouldn't function

STI 9mm, slide was grinding, safety wouldn't function.

Para Limited, slide went on, but was grinding. Safety worked.

Colt commander, slide function, safety works properly. Winchester bulk pack won't work properly. Federal target rounds totally sucks. Remington ammo functions great!

When I bought my .22 kimber upper for my 1911, I read the instructions! If you want to use cheap .22 ammo you will have to change the mainspring. If you want the capability of just changing uppers on your .45 without using a different mainspring..... buy a lot of Stingers.
