What does the "L" stand for, long action? Personally I would like to see the 8400 chambered in 284 win. Cheers Kimbernuck.

Yes the 84L is a lengthned version of the 84M. Idon't think you will see one in .284 but maybe a .280.

I've been checking Kimber's website diligently...not shown up yet.....sounds like a good one...

I always wished Sako would have stretched the L579/AII to handle the '06 cases....
