Howdeee,
I'm knackered, big night out Friday in on the town, a lazzee lunchtime roll up to the property we were goin to fish and hutn for the weekend, arvo fish was good but warm days over here now, I gave up on the fly rod, while my mate joe caught an lost a few on the spinin celta,
arvo sit an wait was quite but joe seen one contouring above but held off on the shot first arvo, we played the low impact game.
this morning we glassed some blackberry bushes for first 15 minutes of light, no Deer seen but plenty of Kangaroo coming back under the fence, which had been out feeding on the pasture all night!
we split an I quickly got onto the Sambar, a group of hinds and calves, I honed in on one but she honked and took off, to my right 60 m one was watching on so I gave her a moment as typical Sambar behaviour, they stop behind a tree or bush with vitals covered, the Burris has a low field of view I find so it was on 6x and knowing I am +2.5 or so high at 100 , I wanted to make sure I wasn't goin to miss or do something silly, so I lined her up pretty low and sent a 140gr PPSN her way, she took off an deer erupted from everywhere
had a lot of "Honking" from all of the deer , just to communicate with there whereabouts and a few could see me as I stalked up higher toward them, so alerting aswell, sometimes its called "Barking" .... hard to judge when its like a air horn goin off.
Joe is making sausages next weekend so legs and backstraps were recovered before the bloody blow flies came in like craazzzeee!!
entry
exit 60 meters
Now to find a few at 200m and then the Big boys at 300m across the big country
I'm switchin on CMC an dozin off, over n out!
Cheers!
