So as I'm sure most of you have seen, redleg and TSE have brought in some Kimber Tactical Pro II with 106mm barrels. A great Idea and a sweet little shooter.

I have thrown the idea at redleg of bringing in the Compact CDP II in with the 106mm barrel and he said "If there is sufficient demand I will consider the CDP Compact.".

I say cool 8) . Put me on the list.

What says you? If you could, would you buy a Compact CDP II (or Compact Stainless II)?

Well, it's been a year since my origional post... is my CDP II here yet redleg :D  ?

Dam I want a compact frame .45 :x . I'd even go for a HK- usp compact w/longer barrel. I see the 106mm p2000 coming in but it is a full length frame aaaaAAAAAaaaarrrRRRRRgggggGGGGHHHhhhhhh! Why can no one get it right. All they have to do is read my mind  .

I have considered the para CCW but I am not a big fan of the DA trigger on a 1911. Perfect sized pistol though. Para advertises the CCW as “the optimum concealed carry pistol.” but they wont make it in SA... aaaaAAAAAaaaarrrRRRRRgggggGGGGHHHhhhhhh! I'm so easy to please but nooooooo...

Come on TSE lets get rollin' on the Compact CDP II's or Compact Stainless II's in 106mm .

Would it be as easy as changing the internals?

I don't think so. I think the receiver (and maybe the slide???) are cut differently to accomodate the DA trigger and the un-cocked and locked feature.

I have asked (Para and over at www.1911forum.com) if the longer 4-1/4' slides and barrels will fit on the shorter frames (both DA and SA) with no real answers. I'm sure this is possible and is just as easy as swaping them out, but that would require the purchase of both pistols one of which we can't get up here. I'm sure any quality gunsmith could build one but it might get a bit pricey. Guess I'll have to look into it.

There is a bit of disscussion over at 1911forum about para not offering this configuration so maybe there will be enough preasure down south for them to build in this config. I guess I'll see what comes in next years Para catalog and if they don't answer my demands  I'll have to see about having one built.

I can't offer a delivery date, but the logistic details have been worked out with Kimber and we hope to have them here before too long.

Sorry we are bringing in both as well as the Eclipse Pro, and Stainless Pro TLE/RL

Just in time for Christmas. I've been looking at the Kimber Grand Raptor and two in 10mm I don't remember their names for sure, but I think it was Sainless II and Eclipse II or something close to that. I'm new at this site and wondering you must have a Gun Shop in Calgary called, " The Shooting Edge"?

OK, guns have FINALLY made it across the border. We should have them in this week.

Please post some pics of them here (or on the TSE website) when they finally arrive.
