So whats the difference between the two? I normally don't have a problem with factory set sights so im unsure whether i should dish out the extra cash for a set of adjustables on the target model. Will these adjustable sights on the target edition be better (sight picture, precision, etc) for target shooting?

As you probably know, fixed sights may not always hit center using the same gun with various shooters. Fixed sights can only be adjusted left/right, if the gun shoots high or low we adjust accordingly. After time we get to know where the gun hits at different distances and aim accordingly.
Adjustable sights can be fine tuned to the owner/shooter to hit dead on at distance A. We can adjust our aim point if we move target distance, or the rear sight can be adjusted up/down for each distance.
Years ago when I shot pistols (Colt 70 Gold Cup, S&W 629 and High Standard Target Match), all of the guns I owned came with adjustable sights.
The tactical fixed sights were not as common then.
However, recently I got back into pistol shooting and now most of my pistols have fixed sights!! I am now actually considering changing some of them over to adjustables, as I find I can adjust the sights to suit me, so I can hit where I aim and don't have to compensate!
The only downfall is that the adjustable rear is not as rugged as a fixed rear, the main reason they have been used on service/duty pistols for a long time.
If you plan to use the gun as a service pistol, or compete with the pistol, where it will get banged around, I'd go fixed.
As most of us (read ME) only shoot at a range and we can't carry, the adjustable sight is how I would tend to go.
Nice pistol you've got selected there, that very gun, with adjustable sights is on my 'to buy list'!

I have a Kimber Custom Target II and I am glad that I spent the extra $100 on the target model. It's nice to have the adjustability to fine tune to your preference and it's going to have better resale if I sell it down the road.

I know its better.. problem is its sold out!I was considering the fixed sight variant because its readily avaliable for me to order.

So ur basically telling me the rear sight is going to look the same? its not going to have features that will impact the easiness for me aim?

X2 Plus I had the front sight drilled and a fiber optic put in kewl!

I own a kimber tle/rl/ii stainless, it has fixed tritium night sights, much preferred over the adjustable target sights on my 22 conversion. Sights are a solid black on black with a textured rear blade on the adjustibles.
