Kimber Hunter owners?

Have you had good success with the function of the detachable box magazine. Or, I guess, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks.

Hi Chuck, .308 hunter owner here, I think the mag is the best feature of the rifle by far, Excellent retention, positive feel to the detents when inserted, flawless and smooth feeding of cartridges.
There is plenty of rim contact on the bolt face when feeding due to design of the center feed single stack mag. The metal box including the feed-lips seem to have some type of coating that makes it feel very slippery and smooth, this translates to a very smooth feed due to the lubricity.
You absolutely cannot top load the magazine however.
I will try and do a video for you and post it here when I get some more time.
I just started a thread that has a few photos you may be interested in.
