Kimber Hunter

So, they’ve been out for a couple hunting seasons now,

To the guys that have been using a Kimber Hunter in the field, what is the feedback?

Good value?, Less than you expected?, Mag or accuracy Issues?

Really enjoying mine in 308 WIN. Accurate, smooth and a true factory CRF with a reliable factory DBM is pretty awesome.
I had my gunsmith cut and crown the barrel at 20 inches but it grouped just fine when the tube was still factory length.
I have owned multiple Montanas over the years but I got tired of blind mags. The poly stock is very close in dimension to the Montana, just not as stiff in the fore-end and not "warm" on your cheek like the glass/Kevlar of the Montana.
Action is absolutely identical just roll-stamped "Hunter"
I bought mine from Epps when they first arrived in Canada for around a grand, and in my mind they are worth every penny. I think a Ruger Hawkeye SS goes for around the same these days.

While I never shot any game with Mine this year I did pack it a whole bunch. It’s a joy to carry, I’ve had no issues with mine. I get just a blonde one under two inches at 200 yards with nosler factory ammo when I do my part.

Just popped the cherry on my hunter yesterday on a bull elk nice to pack really don’t see a downside to anything about them mine is an 06 but wish that spare magazines were more readily available as a spare would be great for quick reloading

Congrats on the Elk!
Give Shooters Choice in Alberta a call, you'll find them in the dealer network, they usually stock the mags.

I already called them Korth hasn’t received them in a while so are waiting on them to get into the country .
