Has anyone seen a new Stainless Target II in 9mm around? P&D seems out of Kimbers and many of the other shops don't list inventory. Must be full size, stainless and 9mm. Picture attached.
Thanks,
Mike

Italian Sporting Goods stocks afair amount of Kimbers.. i got my Stainless Target II 45 from them.

Thanks,
They're pretty close to me, I'll drop by. I wish they'd finally get around to listing inventory on their website. It's a bit frustrating just getting links to manufacturers.

mmm.shooterschoice.com lists them in stock. You have to change the m's to w's. Diabolical, eh?

Looking at the model I'm interested that site lists them nearly $200 more than Wholesale Sports and Hunters Sporting Goods in Surrey, BC.

but they have them in stock...it's pretty easy to advertise something for a cheeper price but not have it in stock

I had a look at Shooters website and it actually says:

"Please remember that, aside from the used gun listings and sales, this is a catalogue and price list - not a listing of actual inventory. Inventory fluctuates, and may or may not be available at any particular time".

I'll have to call and check but it doesn't appear to be for sure that they have anything listed in their catalogue in stock.
Is something wrong with me to think it might be a good idea to actually list what is available RFN at a shop or at least make an attempt to do so?

Are you still looking at a Kimber Tactical Custom II in .45?

I'm looking at the Stainless Gold Match II, .45ACP. $1479.95 at Wholesale Sports.

Wholesale Sports list the one you want for $1149.95, item 3200108. Hunters Sporting Goods in Surrey, http://www.firearms.ca/ has three Kimbers listed on their site, but they seem to have more stock in their store than they list. I'm going there this Saturday to see what Kimbers they have.

Yours looks nice, it's too bad it doesn't come with the magwell. My TCII has one and it's great for fast mag changes. I would install one on any 1911 I get.

That Kimber 9mm is also on my list of desires. However, the STI TargetMaster in 9mm has a 6"barrel and the Aristocrat 3 position adjustable rear sight.
Which won to choose?:50cal:

I like the STI as well but am very comfortable with the 5" for balance, draw etc as my .45 is a 5" Kimber. Also I wanted a Stainless this time.

Those look pretty good. I've been looking into the 1911 myself, how do Kimbers generally stack up in the world of the 1911?

For 1911's you can't go wrong with Kimber, Para, STI etc. We all have our favourites but no one would argue that once you get around $1000 they are probably all going to be decent pistols and then it's personal preferance for looks, options etc.

BC Mike likes his

He must know something, right? He didn't say he wanted a Chi-com 1911 either.
Very much like the Kimber, especially in 9mm. Probably my second choice.
I want the STI TargetMaster in 6" with the fancy rear sight because its one of the big contenders to go to especially in PPC.
I like the Sig P226X6 and the S&W Performance Center 9mm PPC gun too.:50cal:
