Fellow Kimberians , can you tell me what it is likw for you to Flick the Safety FORWARD and then move it back to MIDDLE, and then from BACK to FORWARD finishing in the MIDDLE .

I think there is only one minor Glitch with this particular rifle.

Thanks in Advance

Mine are all slicker than snot on a doorknob but (there's always a but) a M70 style safety needing a little polishing certainly isn't unheard of. The most common glitch is being hard to switch from "fire". What is yours doing?

Not sure what you mean whelan, do you mean that it's hard to move the safety, or you think it's in the fire position at the wrong spot? Safety forward is fire, middle is safety on but can operate bolt, back is safety on bolt locked

Dogleg, I have a model 70 that has the exact problem that you just mentioned, it sticks trying to move out of the "fire" position. I have to lift the bolt just slightly and then if I apply pressure to the safety while closing the bolt there is one "sweet spot" where it will just pop back into "safe" nicely. If you know what I should look at or polish can you send me a pm?

You may be more competent than me, but unless you know what you're doing messing with the cocking piece is likely to produce some undesirable results - like firing when you remove the safety. I believe the reason it's stiff is because it's doing its job, i.e. camming the cocking piece back off of the sear.

Yes fellows my issue is from FIRE to MIDDLE... very hard and once ya get it back it goes straight too SAFE,
From there i can put to middle or back easily... just hung up on FIRE
