Kimber 1911 pistols have a small Allen screw at the front of the trigger. What is it's purpose? There is no mention of it in the owner's manual.

limits trigger travel

the screw hits the frame and stops you from pulling the trigger too far after the hammer is dropped, i guess it makes it quicker to release / reset the trigger for follow-up shots

I have not seen one on a Kimber, but these small screws are to adjust how far back the trigger goes .
Some people like to adjust them so that the trigger only goes back far enough to trip the sear & no further.
