Hey everyone. I have recently been looking at King Optics Canada. They make rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes etc. 75% made in Canada, glass is imported from Europe. They claim to rival any manufacturers in the world including the likes of Swarovski, Zeiss, Leupold etc, stronger than any. I have not met anyone who has actually used any of their products, anyone on here have any experience with these products? Looking for some feedback before I purchase anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did not, friend of mine did..... three different rifles, three different scopes, all failed. Two wouldn't track, one had stuck magnification and slight distortion through the lens, like a shifted lens. I wish I could type the mental image of spitting on the floor to accompany my enthusiasm for their optic line.. and glass is lower end vortex at best, which I also don't like lol.

If you dig around the net long enough you'll find they make claims greater then their products, they are not better then the swarovski or zeiss, I've only looked through them at the counter, never owned one though.

Whats your price point and what kind of magnification and features are you looking for in a scope?

There is a place that sells them here. I have checked them out at the store and have seen some at the local range. Some people swear by them... I question their judgement. I didn't see where the glass was anything to write home about, and the scopes themselves don't even look like they are built that great. If they sold them for a couple hundred bucks or something like that, maybe I'd try one... But definitely not at the prices they want for them.... I'll take my leupy vx-3 any day

I own a few Leupold vari-x 3's, they are pretty nice. My price range is usually around $1000. I am really into Canadian made products, too bad I am not hearing anything good about King. I don't understand how they can make such claims and be that bad.

Ha a simple search for "King Optics" on here will reveal all. I believe the Owner is a charlatan and a con. The scope is on par with Leapers at Nightforce prices. Only people that speak well of them are either paid, or were conned and don't want to admit it.

Thank you everyone. Sounds like junk. Let the search continue. I just want something that isn't "the best" because of the high price...

A Mountie-customer came across a King Optic scope at a NS range with a bullet hole through with a sign " THIS SCOPE IS ####" .

Some dealers stock them guided by greed promised by high profit margins. Chinese junk worth $75; an opinion offered by one manufacturer.

Best regards,

Peter
