Hello, I’m thinking about picking up a Knight Mountaineer, straight nutmeg stock, with a nitrate black barrel. I also like the plastic jacket 209 primer idea. Anyone have a Mountaineer with the plastic jacket set up? Would like to hear the good and bad.

I have wanted a mountaineer in forest green thumb hole stock for a few years now. Can't seem to find them anywhere.

I have never seen one with a black barrel, only the stainless.
I have always heard good things about the knight rifles but I'm not sure I would want the plastic jacket system. I think bare 209 would work just fine.
 
You can order right from Kights website. They even have a custom shop where you can get then to mix and match parts from different models. They will even mount a scope or set a trigger to your desired weight.
