Got a chance to install my new KAC Micro BUIS onto the old AR this morning. It took me three 5 round groups to get it zeroed. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the base; there is no slack and it fits very snugly onto the rail. I regret not loctiting it before zeroing. It feels rugged and solid and should be able to take a beating. It flips up and down with a smooth positive motion. I was expecting the elevation indicator to be located on the back of the sight, however it is on the left so you have to look around to see the elevation (us lefties at least).

This is one of my targets @ 100m using 55gr FMJ propelled by 25gr of H335 out of my 1:9 14.5'' M4 barrel.

After punching holes in neat little groups I went over to the 50m range and destroyed a few bowling pins.

Here is the sight picture.

I waited a long time to get my hands onto one of these neat little sights and so far I am very happy with it!

Cheers,

very good shooting with the iron!

Thanks bro. Of course I took a picture of the best grouped target! The others are somewhat less impressive.

Wow, how the hell can you see the small circles at 100m?

The small circles are the size of my clay pigeons. I can bull's eye clays with irons at that distance too. I bought a very thin front sight post for my AR (about half as thick as the standard A2 front sight posts.) It allows you to engage tiny targets like clays and itty bitty shattered clays that you just shot!
