Actually, aren't they $500 U.S. then export, import, duty, that's not so bad. Or am I wrong (?)

About $475US without the stripper clip guide and $525US with.

Considering KAC doesn't export due to their "weapons of war" definition and that these things are mostly destined for the war effort, price reflects supply and demand.

What's being able to buy this in the country worth for time and effort? Try to do the export licensing and I'll bet the application gets turned down.
