A new member/hunter asked a simple question in another thread. Once again, he has to wade through 3 feet of useless bull#### to get to anything usefull. A problem far to prevelant here (IMO)

The more I read the #### that gets spewed on this site from the "traditional" caliber VS "New fangled Caliber" types is ####ing retarded! Especially when it comes to new shooters looking for SOLID advice..not propoganda.

"You can't kill a moose unless you are using the newest 40 fps faster ....blah blah ####ing blah.

You own a fuel injected car? How about a touch-tone phone (or god forbid...a CELLPHONE? After all...you can ALWAYS find a payphone...what do you NEED the cell for?) I notice you are typing on a computer.......Why not write a letter?

Fact is that there is new technology everywhere...and in 99% of cases, it's BETTER!

Now the other way: the '06 has been around for a long time. It works well, and if thats what the budget/desire warrants...let it be. It WILL work to hunt.

Just stop it! If you want to slag eeach other(s) choices, for Christs sake...do it by PM. The people here do NOT need to witness it every God damn time someone asks a question!

you've been around here 7mths, and contributed less then 300posts. if you're flipping out this early you're not going to last much longer.

You know what? If the thread was titled "The two caliber pissing contest"...I wouldn't read it.

However, the thread was started by a new hunter looking for advice...seems safe enough to click on eh?
Problem is, you discover it's just like every other caliber thread, one is subjected to the same BS, semi-off-topic pissing contest that the same people have here at every opportunity. The guy asked for HELP. If you cant be/have no desire to be helpfull, or to remain on topic, just don't post. If you want to #####, feel free to start a new thread instead of once again hijacking someone elses well intentioned thread. Thats what I did.;)

Has she been out after the varmints too Jarrod? The Foxes have been taking a bit of a lickin around town and there was a big badger "sleeping" on the road north of town too. She must be practicing for her Taxiderminst career!:p

I guess it depends on a personal view on help and how one is trying to help another person out. I tend to go on a kick with one caliber to awhile and brag her up for all its worth more often than not, not to expose to the world that I am biased, just to show what works for me. If I cannot offer that (which alot of times I do to not seem nearly as boring as I am) then what can a guy offer?

Is there any particular thread you are talking about Ryan or just as a general rule 'round these here parts?

it might because he is shooting instead of being on this site 24/7,so what if the guy only haves a few post.myself i would rather be shooting then have 2700 post:rolleyes:

Amen. But then again, I'd probably have 2700 posts as well if they maxed out at two lines. *(And didn't feel I had to think before posting) :p

She would love a mid 80's Chev but as you know it's almost impossible to find one that has'nt been bubba'd. If we could find a way to re-inflate that Badger I might be tempted to bring it home.


personally I always enjoy the "two caliber pissing matches", the internet is one of many resources a hunter can use so hopefully the nubes will learn to decipher whats what and move on.

Guys, don't be hard on the newbs, Wrong ways right, give em a hand if we can, get to know them a little bit, and then go for the jugular when they screw up.;)
