Hi all,
I've been looking to get a Knoxx AR stock to replace the hard plastic folding POS on my Norinco 97-1 (870P clone.) The Shooting Edge in Calgary quoted me a price of about $189 including S&H to Vancouver BC. Does this seem like a decent price? I'm new to shotties, so I'm not so sure.....I am very impressed by that Knoxx stock though!
 
specialty shooting sports in creston, bc. $125 plus taxes and between $10-20 shipping. great service and fast shipping. i love the knoxx on my 18.5 mag-fed grizzly. i wouldnt recommend the powerpak though - i have it and am not a fan...
 
I bought the Knoxx NRS (no recoil suppression) stock for my DA Grizzly shotgun and it works great. If you need recoil suppression then go with the spec ops stock. I ordered it from Specialty Shooting Sports as well.
 
I still say there are plain old recoil pads out there that work just as well. The recoil on my old Marine magnum went up noticeably when I put on a Knoxx. I remedied that by putting my R3 pad onto the knoxx...

Just curious what you didn't like about the powerpak?
 
The Knoxx stock is the cat's meow :D . I have one on my DA Griz and have had zero issues with recoil. Heavy loads, light loads, slugs........:rockOn: Blew through 100+ rounds at a 3 gun match with nary a bruise. I felt the AR's recoil more than the shotgun's.

I too have the Power Pak on mine and I like it. It raises your sightline, though not a prob if you're going with a red dot or scope. The side saddle is handy, but I've yet to use the other compartment. If you get one, decide early if and where you want the extras. The Pak's a royal ##### to get off once installed.

Are you sure you didn't pick up the NRS one by chance?

I'd shoot my 870 Express equipped with the recoil-reducing stock all day long, over half a mag in my Enfield. :eek:
 
I paid near retail, because no one seemed to have it in stock when I wanted one.


($125'ish IIRC).


IMO, that was a decent price, considering what it retails for on the BHI website.

I have both, it works but it is overrated and doesn't work any better than a quality recoil pad. I have other issues with the Knoxx as well, like getting my trigger finger smashed when firing very heavy loads.
 
got mine fromm specialty shooting sports too in creston, works great on my maverick 88 using slugs, ordered on a friday and it was at my door the next monday!
 
I picked up the Blackhawk Knox Spec Ops stock at the yearly gun show this year. It ran me $165 plus another $15 for the hex driver to install it.. I had no luck finding one anywhere else, and a friend who works at a tactical supply store had told me they were no longer being produced?? I don't know, I thought it wasn't too bad for not being produced..

It preforms pretty good, I like the adjustability and the AR looking stock. I have no issues shooting magnum loads all day, the only problem I've had is getting cheek slapped haha. So the face gets soar before the sholder or the finger.. I've also never had the issue with my fingers being hit. All in all not a bad stock. Pretty tacticool looking.
 
I got my Blackhawk Knox Spec Ops stock AND MATHCHING FOREND for my 870, for $112 on ebay, with the way the doller is, I couldnt beat that deal. It was brand new in the package from a dealer down there.
 
The Mesa /enidine solution is the cats ass. The knoxx is very functional, but I don't like how the receiver moves relative to the pistol grip. If the spring or the mount breaks (if) you now have a non functional device. The enidine solution lets you shoot slugs all day long but if the moving parts break (still unlikely) you still have a functional pistol grip.

Quality materials and quality design. Neither ones are bad, but I really felt that the mesa/enidine was the better solution despite the price.
