Cheers,

Anyone know where to get either a copstock or a SpecOps Folder (Esentially the same thing with a new name) for a reasonable price? TSE wants $145+tax/shipping  I don't want to pay $200 for a $100 stock.

The Specops folder and copstock are quite different.
I've ordered a specops folder from knoxx (easy) and I'm just waiting like everyone else for them to catch up to demand....they are shipping but alot of orders need to be filled.

I ordered a SpecOps from TSE about 2 months ago, right after they finally recieved them from Knoxx. Call or e-mail them to see if they still have some in stock. I cannot rmember the price but I think it was around $170 including shipping.

Edited because I didn't read your second post.

Wally's looking for a folder.....but I think Wally will find they cost more then $100.

$110 US for the copstock and $120 US for the Spec Ops folder plus shipping, tax and currency exchange.

TSE's price is not that un-reasonable.

Really? I was poking around and couldn't really tell what they had changed aside from the asthetic stuff (ie, fold pivot moved further back). If you know what all is different please share!

Is the "Easy" a reference to there not being any problems at the border? How much did it cost you to order directly from them?

Yeah.... well I'm trying to get a CopStock off gunbroker for about $80 and I think Questar was selling them for about $120. Like I said, I start to feel dirty when the price climbs closer and closer to $200:runaway:

I bought my Spec Ops from TSE. Worth every penny for the great customer service and I supported a Canadian Firearms company....

Well the pivot change means it should be non restricted with a 14" barrel which is quite different from the original cop stock.

While both stocks do essentially the same thing....I don't see one part that is the same between the cop stock and the spec ops.

Other noticable differences are,

The shorter wire stock does not project past the ejection port when folded

The grip looks more comfortable at the top with the the pivot point moved back and re designed.

It also looks like it will be possible to remove the wire stock and convert it into a breachers grip to shave a little bulk if needed.

The wire stock has a rubber butt pad to spread out the recoil better.

I have not handled either one so I really can't say if one is better then the other and really the change of design has more to do with parts being the same as the Spec Ops stock to save money in production....

To me the longer over all length of the stock is the major bonus of the new version.

Easy as in just call them with a credit card number and address....the spec ops folder is backordered though so I won't be charged till it is sent.
Shipping is USPS so shouldn't be to bad.

There are issues with exporting shotgun parts from the States but Knoxx has all the permits in place to ship to individuals in Canada.

I've spent money at TSE as well and have had pretty good service from them but since it's a new product and not available yet I figured I'd just order it direct from knoxx.....

Actually the CopStock is $129 from us, which to me is quite a distance from $200. Your opinion might differ however.

The Folding Spec ops stock is still not in production. One important difference is that the wire portion is wider to allow it to fold over an EoTech sight when the sight is mounted. Other changes are indicated above.

So what you are saying is that I am now going to have to buy a SpecOps Folder??

:runaway:

My wife will be angry....

Because once I buy the SpecOps folder I will need to put it on something.....

OK, the guy I was talking to didn't seem to know and I was getting a little ruffeled as I was calling Long Distance (That automated system is also irritating). If your shippng prices are reasonable I'll order one from you to save myself some trouble.

Cheers,
Mike

ETA: GROG.... no winchester CopStocks in stock :bangHead: Said he had everything else except winchester :( $129+1 tax and $10-$15 shipping via CP... I consider reasonable. The guy on the phone said he was gonna look into it and see if he could get me one.

OK, This is really pissing me off. TSE Doesn't have any in stock and I can't find the damn things anywhere else. Apparently, if people carry this stuff, they don't list it on their websites.

Anyone know where the hell I can get one of these damn things?
