About 'plugs' ...

Hunters are required in most provinces to plug their shotguns to 2 in the mag max FOR HUNTING only. It's a provincial law in each province.

A shotgun is a centerfire firearm - same as a rifle. The regs say no restrictions on rounds for centerfire firearms, except semis.

A pump shotgun can have a hundred round magazine if you can figure out how to do it :)

Yup, and I'm told this is up for review, and a possible change soon for Non-waterfowl hunters...at least in BC. :)

i was under the impression that you were limited to 2 for bird hunting, but could have a full tube when big game hunting?
if not, then good thing i didn't use mine last deer season!

Each province has its own laws - yours may be different.

However - in bc the actual law is very clear - ALL shotguns limited to 2+1 or less for hunting wildlife. It doesnt' say 'birds' or such.

But when the law was made, really that's all people used shotguns for for the most part. So it's just out of date.
