I handled a regular Spec Ops stock at a local shop here, and I love the feel of it. Fits me quite well. I've never had a problem shooting 2 3/4" out of my old 870 Wingmaster tactical shotgun, so I don't think the recoil system would be a huge benefit to me. Anyone had a chance to shoot the NRS? I've been flip-flopping between the Choate and Speedfeed PG full stocks, and I think this may beat 'em both.
Any info would be helpful,
Thanks

I purchased the SpecOps for my 870 last month.
It's has a softer, kind of springy recoil....a bit different than the original stock which has a more sharper bite.
I can honestly say, it does make a difference if you're shooting all day with it. The bite isn't there but the kick is still quite noticable.....I find the muzzle rise is about the same.

I have not tried the NRS. With the buffer spring absent, you might find it to be the same as an OEM stock. Good quality adjustable stock with a nice butt pad though.
