Anyone has any past experience with the russian Kobra sight?
I'm actually contemplating the idea of fitting one on a VZ-858 and I was wondering if the sight height was adequate or if I'll have to compensate by modifying my cheek weld further up the stock.
Do you think the Bushnell Holosight II could be a better option?
PP.

I have. The Kobra sight is high and some shooters did complain it was not as low as an Eotech for example. But for me, it does not bother me because I shoot with both eyes open anyways and I don't have my cheek on the stock.

The Kobra sits a bit high on a rail, because it was designed to go into the integral dovetail mount of an AK and be right on top of the receiver cover.

I had several Cobra sights the I bought from the Soviet Bazaar in the UK ,I had these fitted to my AK47's, AK74's and AK104's along with the side mount, changing reticule picture can be a little fiddly but the site picture is good and clear allowing for fast acquisition of moving targets.

I used these in action for over 6 years in all conditions and they with stood a lot of abuse, these scopes were the choice of many lads on my detachment and are still being used today by them.
