Kodiak stayed with the gen 2 lower because of the law changes in regards to new manufactured guns requiring proprietary magazines that can only hold 5 rounds. Kodiak rep says so in this link Here.Yup. Same lower too...the price increase is a rough sell.

Isn't that a Sterling R4 MK3......Looks OK. I know M+M had to get to gen 3 to have a reliable rifle with the M10x. Maybe the 3rd times the charm for Kodiak as well. Price seems ok as long as its a reliable rifle. I would probably cut the hand guard down to the gas regulator. It would be nice to see a reliable, modern, Canadian made AR for a sub 2k price.
