Sigh... Just go back to your old 1960's Model 70 in a ####ty wood stock, Elmer...

Look at the bore, and it's path in a straight line back to the stock/buffer tube. Then look at a "traditional" rifle style, and you'll see that the stock drops a solid inch below the line of the bore. Voila.

And to directly answer your question, Technically yes, likely, as Seekins makes a 1.59" height mount and those I'm guessing are 1.50" rings.
