Hi all, i'm totally new to the AR game, so I just want to pick some brains here on the non restricted W180C. Non restricted is a must, since I plan to use this in the bush and range. My type of shooting casual bush and range, so I don't need anything too crazy in accuracy. Ideally I just need something that can handle a lot of rounds with but still have a decent rifle (non-competition). The W180C is slightly different than an AR setup so just a bit worried on certain parts. Fabrication isn't my forte, so plug and play parts are ideal.
What I really want in my build is the following under $500 in parts on top of a purchase of the 180c:
1. A new longer floating 16" or so hand guard with M lock for accessories
Is this possible with the 180C based on the gas setup? Any suggestions on brands or types?
2. A new stock
Mission First Tactical BattleLink Minimalist $50~
Will something like this fit easily or will I need an adapter?
3. Trigger
I hear the trigger if not great, so looking for something worth upgrading to that's decent. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not a competition shooter, but it's always nice to have a decent trigger. What's a good bang for the buck trigger that will fit without modification that isn't a cheap china knockoff?
4. Red Dot Scope
I plan to shoot around 100-200 yards, so I don't need super high magnification, but something 3 - 5 times would be nice. Was thinking vortex due to the vast amount of options possibly. Any recommendations. To give you some background, my eyes are decent but not great. I can shoot iron sights usually at up to 50 yards with decent accuracy on my 7.62. At 100 i'm just happy to hit paper without assist.
5. Backup Iron Sights (flip down and up)
Is it viable to get all these parts in at under $500? If not, and it's leaning towards more $1000 in parts, I'm going to splurge on a non restricted XCR then.
